Stefan is a software engineer who has been tracking his own finances in spreadsheets for over a decade. He built FinancialAha! to bring engineering-grade precision to personal financial planning - the same tools he uses for his own money.
Diana Neculai
Co-Founder & Spreadsheet Designer
Diana has been designing personal finance spreadsheets for over 10 years before co-founding FinancialAha! She focuses on making complex financial data accessible through clear, well-structured interfaces - starting with the templates she built for her own household.
How We Build Our Templates
For every spreadsheet template, we research the key metrics and financial concepts it needs to cover. Then we build the template based on that research, making sure the formulas and structure reflect how people actually track their finances.
We test every template with our own real numbers first, looking for missing information or problems. Then we stress-test it by running randomized data through every formula and checking the output for edge cases.
When we find issues after release - and sometimes we do - we fix them and email every customer with the updated version.

Our templates and calculators are tools to help you organize and understand your own financial data. They are not financial advice - we are not financial advisors. We use these same tools for our own finances, and we built them to be as accurate and reliable as we could make them.
